To address the end-to-end machining needs of small and medium-sized precision parts, the industry has launched an integrated production line solution combining a drilling and tapping center with a slant-bed CNC lathe. This solution enables direct drilling, tapping, and milling of features after bar stock is shaped by turning, reducing precision errors caused by workpiece transfer and repeated clamping.

The front end of the production line uses a CNC lathe to perform external turning, internal turning, and thread turning on shafts and discs. Large through-hole models can automatically feed long bars, with a tailstock clamping mechanism ensuring the straightness of long workpieces during machining. The rear end connects to a TP series high-speed drilling and tapping center to complete precision milling processes such as multi-hole facing, irregular grooves, and chamfering. The control systems of the two types of equipment are interconnected, allowing for unified input of machining programs. Automated robotic arms facilitate workpiece transfer between equipment, eliminating the need for manual intervention throughout the process.

This solution is suitable for mass production of automotive fasteners, small hydraulic valve bodies, motor shafts, and 3C metal structural parts. The lathe handles roughing and finishing, while the drilling and tapping center handles complex hole machining. The two types of equipment have matched precision standards, significantly improving the dimensional consistency of finished products. The entire production line occupies a compact area and the number of lathes and drilling centers can be increased or decreased according to capacity requirements. It supports phased expansion and is suitable for different stages of needs, from start-up processing plants to large-scale mass production workshops.
